On the occasion of the Celebration of the Golden Jubilee of T. I. Ahmadiyya Secondary School, Kumasi, we the past students of the school forming the OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATON popularly referred to as OLD AMASS hereby extend sincere and hearty greetings and love to the Board, Management, staff and students of this great and obviously unique institution. We congratulate the school on its remarkable survival instinct and more so over its record of outstanding performance and achievements in the academic, socio – cultural and sporting fields. We salute the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission for the rare vision, boldness and courage in pioneering the establishment of second cycle secular school, the first of its kind in this country by an Islamic religious body, at a time when the Muslim establishment in most countries were dead against secular education. We remember with fond memories and deep regard the toil and sacrifices of the School’s founding fathers, and on this auspicious occasion, we share their pride and great achievement in that the heritage they left behind continues to bear great and wondrous fruit. It is the commitment of the students who have had the truly rare opportunity of being trained in T. I. Ahmadiyya Secondary School, Kumasi to keep the light the founding father so selflessly lit some fifty years ago burning ever brighter and brighter till the end of time. We promise to hold a loft in dignity and great pride the flag they lifted among the community of Prime School here in Ghana and elsewhere. We acknowledge and celebrate on this occasion the collective and individual achievements of the products of the school in the spheres of national and international life. T. I. AHMADIYYA SECONDARY SCHOOL, KUMASI, is truly and undoubtedly unique. It is, and has over the years remained, a MELTING pot where all people, irrespective of race, colour, ethnic origin, religious or moral persuasion or even country of origin have found common fertile ground living and thriving in an atmosphere and environment of perfect harmony, goodwill, solidarity and mutual respect and understanding. If ever there was a doubt that people of diverse ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds could perfectly associate and forge a common human bond than that doubt has effectively been shattered by the experience and legacy of T. I. Ahmadiyya Secondary School, Kumasi. True, our School had never had the privilege of possessing the very best in material endowment by way of excellent physical structures or teaching and learning aids. Yet students have over the years compensated for the relative insufficiency of resources with a dogged determination to succeed and make a mark whatever it pays. The environment of the school fosters self-discipline, honesty, private industry, instinctive pride and irrepressible determination and courage to move ahead to move forward and never to look back in fear or timorousness. Little wonder products of the school are found in all climes and regions and in all fields of human endeavour actively holding their own against all odds and indeed standing tall and visible in attainment wherever they may be. T. I. Ahmadiyya Secondary School, Kumasi has championed and forever effectively broken the barriers of PREJUDICE in all of its manifestations. After many years of its existence, secular education of Muslim is no longer seen as a Taboo. This is revolutionary change that cannot be lost sight of. We the Old Students note with satisfaction and great esteem that the Silver Jubilee of the School was celebrated with pomp and feeling of remarkable achievement. It is our hope and expectation that the Golden Jubilee Celebration will witness even greater success. As the school embarks upon its journey into the century of its founding in a new century and new millennium, it an count on the fervent prayers and the active Material and moral support of the countless number of people it has trained and nurtured who find themselves in productive service to humanity all over the world. We are justifiably and fondly proud of the School’s products. We congratulate both the staff and students of the school and encourage them to work even harder increasingly improve upon the successes of the School. May our School live long and continue to be of invaluable services to humanity ceaselessly fulfilling the vision and dreams of the founding fathers and justifying their great love, sacrifice and humanity.
